Their conversation was recorded at Montreal's Blue Metropolis International Literary Festival earlier this year. King was honoured with the First Peoples Literary Prize for his novel, The Back of the Turtle

According to Blue Metropolis, the $5,000 award aims to increase national and international exposure to writers from Indigenous communities in order to highlight the work of novelists, playwrights, poets and other writers. The prize is sponsored by the McConnell Foundation and The Chadha Foundation.

So sit back, get comfortable, grab a cup of tea and take a listen to an extended interview with Cherokee/Greek writer Thomas King.
