Spooning

Aired Thursday, July 23
( )

When Judith was cast as the spoon in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST on Broadway, she thought her dreams had come true. She applied all she'd learned at RADA, LAMBDA, and Juilliard with diligence. She gave up everything to become the best spoon around. But now, twenty-one seasons later, a spoon is not just the only job she can get: it's all she knows how to be. And spoons are ageless. They last longer than people.

The inimitable Krista Morin (THE HANDMAID'S TALE) is the sole performer in this absurd and poignant short, which is also director Rebecca Applebaum's debut film. Rebecca and writer Julia Lederer have worked together in theatre over many years.
