Walrond, 31, pitched six times for the World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies last season, posting a 1-1 record with a 6.10 earned-run average.
The left-hander spent most of the season at triple-A with the Iowa Cubs of the Pacific Coast League and Leigh Valley IronPigs of the International League.
Walrond is 1-4 lifetime with a 7.07 ERA in 23 appearances, including two starts, at the major-league level.
He has pitched for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago Cubs and Phillies.
