Kevin Pillar reprises Superman flying catch

Kevin Pillar added to his Gold Glove credentials as a centre-fielder with a diving catch in the top of the fourth inning that took away a hit from the Rangers' Josh Hamilton in Game 5 of the American League Division series.

For Pillar, in his first full-season as a starting outfielder for the Blue Jays, outstanding catches are becoming commonplace, almost expected.

Pillar called a fence-scaling catch earlier in the season in which he reached over the 10-foot high wall to rob a home run as a turning point in his season where he went from a largely unknown player to status as one of the best outfielders in baseball.

First, Pillar's diving catch in the do-or-die ALDS deciding game against the Rangers.

He also trotted out his Superman routine earlier this season, robbing Tampa Bay's Luke Maile with a dive into the right centre-field gap.
