Jahmal Jones scored 28 points as the Edmonton Stingers breezed past the Fraser Valley Bandits 106-65 to record the largest margin of win in CEBL history on Wednesday.

Xavier Moon played 23:26 minutes to add 17 and help Edmonton collected a fifth straight win. Alex Campbell scored 21 to lead Fraser Valley, which dropped the fourth in a row in its 5-6 campaign.

The 41-point gap tells the story of the game from half-way into the second quarter onwards.

Fraser Valley had control of the match up until that point and even boasted a lead by 14 at the start of the quarter.

Edmonton had already previously clinched the 1st place and improved to 12-1. They will round out the regular-season on Friday when they host the Bandits once again.

Fraser Valley will still visit the Saskatchewan Rattlers twice after that.

Nighthawks edge BlackJacks

Michael Bryson scored 25 points in his fourth CEBL game to lead the Guelph Nighthawks past the Ottawa BlackJacks 96-71 on Wednesday.

Olu Famutimi added 22 points for Guelph while Tyrell Green was Ottawa's top scorer with 15.

The teams started the second quarter tied at 19 but Guelph took the lead right away and never looked back in its way to claiming a second victory in its last five matches.

Bryson scored 13 points in his CEBL debut against the Hamilton Honey Badgers last Tuesday. The six-foot-four guard then added 19 and eight in his second and third games, both against the Niagara River Lions, on Friday and Sunday.

Guelph, which improved to 4-9, sits sixth in the seven-team league. Ottawa dropped to 4-8 but remained just ahead of Guelph in the standings, in fifth place.

Both teams will face each other again on Friday, this time at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph, Ont. The game will round out Guelph's regular season. Ottawa will play it's final game when they visit the Niagara River Lions on Sunday.
