The Mavericks and Dirk Nowitzki have reached agreement on a two-year contract that could get the star forward to 20 seasons in Dallas.

The agreement would be worth roughly $20 million US per season with a player option in the second year.

The Mavericks have also agreed to a two-year, $6 million contract with free agent guard Seth Curry, the younger brother of two-time MVP Stephen Curry.

The 38-year-old Nowitzki will get a significant raise two years after signing a team-friendly deal at roughly $8 million per season to help the Mavericks in free agency.

West latest to join Warriors

David West is headed to Golden State on a one-year deal to try to land that elusive championship.

The two sides came to agreement on Tuesday, one day after star forward Kevin Durant chose to go to the Warriors.

West left some $11 million on the table last season when he opted out of his contract with Indiana to try to get a title with the San Antonio Spurs. He averaged a career-low 7.1 points per game and the Spurs lost to Durant's Thunder in the Western Conference semifinals.

The 13-year pro has never won a title. NBA.com first reported the agreement.

Hornets add depth with Hibbert, Sessions

The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to terms with centre Roy Hibbert and point guard Ramon Sessions.

Hibbert will receive one-year deal worth $5 million and Sessions received a two-year deal worth $12.3 million with a team option for the second season.

The moves strengthen Charlotte's depth.

The 7-foot-2 Hibbert is expected to back up Cody Zeller. A former two-time all-star, Hibbert struggled last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging a career-low 5.9 points and just 4.9 rebounds.

Sessions returns to Charlotte to back up point guard Kemba Walker. Sessions averaged 9.9 points and 2.2 assists last season with Washington.

Spurs deal Diaw to Jazz

The San Antonio Spurs have traded Boris Diaw to the Utah Jazz for point guard Olivier Hanlan.

The 33-year-old Diaw, a key member of the Spurs' 2014 championship team, averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists last season. Hanlan was a 2015 second-round pick by the Jazz. He played in Lithuania last season.
