Kahleah Copper had season highs with 23 points and 10 rebounds, Emma Meesseman scored 17 points and grabbed a season-best 12 rebounds and the Chicago Sky beat the Atlanta Dream 106-100 in overtime Friday night.

Allie Quigley also had 17 points, Azura Stevens and Rebekah Gardner scored 15 apiece and Courtney Vandersloot added 11 for Chicago (10-4).

Meesseman made a jumper, Copper hit a three-pointer and, after Rhyne Howard made a layup on the other end, Quigley hit another three to give the Sky a 99-93 lead about 2 minutes into overtime. Atlanta (7-8) twice trimmed its deficit to two points but Stevens answered each time — the first with a pair of free throws to make it 101-97 with 1:27 to play and the second with a three-pointer that gave Chicago a five-point lead with less than a minute to go.

AD Durr scored 21 points and McDonald finished with 20 for the Dream. Howard and Cheyenne Parker added 16 points apiece and Destiny Slocum scored a career-high 10.

Ruthy Hebard hit a jumper to give Chicago its biggest lead of the game at 71-53 midway through the third quarter but the Dream responded with an 18-2 run that trimmed their deficit to 73-71 about four minutes later after McDonald and Slocum made back-to-back three-pointers to cap the spurt.

McDonald converted a three-point play before Parker made two free throws to give the Dream a one-point lead with 31.4 seconds left in regulation but Copper made 1-of-2 free throws with 19.0 seconds remaining to tie it at 91-all. Howard missed a potential winning three-point shot in the closing seconds and Naz Hillmon grabbed the offensive rebound but her put-back attempt was blocked by Stevens to force overtime.

Ogunbowale's hot hand lifts Wings past Mercury

Arike Ogunbowale hit six three-pointers and finished with 24 points, Teaira Cowans had season highs of 17 points and 10 rebounds and the Dallas Wings beat the Phoenix Mercury 93-88 Friday night.

Isabelle Harrison added 16 points, Marina Mabrey 14 and Allisha Gray scored 11 for Dallas. The Wings (7-8) snapped a four-game skid and won for just the second time since an 85-77 win over the Connecticut Sun on May 24.

Tina Charles had 27 points and nine rebounds for Phoenix (6-10) and Skylar Diggins-Smith added 21 points and a season-high 10 assists. Diamond DeShields scored 14 points and Shey Peddy and Diana Taurasi each hit three three-pointers and scored nine points.

Charles made a layup midway through the fourth quarter that gave Phoenix — which trailed by as many as 17 points — its first lead of the game at 80-79. McCowan scored inside on the other end and Taurasi hit a three-pointer to put the Mercury back in front. McCowan then tied it at 83-all with a layup and hit 1-of-2 free throws before Ogunbowale made a three with 2:05 left that made it 87-83.

The Mercury had won four of their last five.

Bonner, Sun snap Storm's win streak

DeWanna Bonner scored 15 of her 20 points in the fourth quarter, Jonquel Jones had 17 points and 14 rebounds and the Connecticut Sun beat the Seattle Storm 82-71 Friday night.

Jewell Loyd hit a three-pointer that cut Seattle's deficit to 71-68 with 3:58 to play but Bonner converted a three-point play, made a layup and, after Alyssa Thomas scored to give the Sun a 10-point lead with 2:01 left, made a reverse layup to make it 80-68.

Bonner finished with 10 rebounds — giving her 2,501 in her career — four assists and three steals. She went into the fourth quarter shooting 2 of 12 from the field and 0 for 6 from three-point range but was 5-of-6 shooting — including 2 of 2 from behind the arc — with four rebounds, two assists assist and a steal over the final 10 minutes. Bonner, in her 13th WNBA season, joined Tamika Catchings, Candice Dupree, Candace Parker, DeLisha Milton-Jones and Swin Cash as the only players in league history to record at least 5,000 points, 2,500 rebounds and 900 assists.

Brionna Jones added 19 points and Thomas had 10 points and eight assists for the Sun (12-4).

Breanna Stewart led Seattle (9-5) with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Sue Bird scored 14 points and Ezi Magbegor added 12.

The 41-year-old Bird — the league's all-time assists leader — announced Thursday that she would retire at the end of the season. A four-time WNBA champion and five-time Olympic gold medallist, Bird has played her entire 21-year career with the Storm.

The Sun limited Seattle to just 11 second-quarter points and took a 10-point lead into halftime. Bird and Jewell Loyd hit back-to-back three-pointers to spark a 13-3 run that gave the Storm a 46-45 lead when Stewart hit a three-pointer with about four minutes into the third quarter.

Connecticut has won six of its last seven games and eight of the last 10.

The Storm had their four-game win streak — which dated to a 93-86 loss to Connecticut on June 5 — snapped.
