The announcement is taking place on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. 


MacLennan, the 2012 Olympic gold medallist in trampoline, joins a long list of distinguished athletes who have carried the Canadian flag into the opening ceremony, including triathlete and gold medallist Simon Whitfield at the 2012 London Olympics.
