Alouettes re-sign Cox, Duval and Perrett
The Montreal Alouettes secured the services of defensive back Chip Cox, kicker-punter Damon Duval and offensive lineman Jeff Perrett after signing all three players to contract extensions Thursday.
The Montreal Alouettes secured the services of defensive back Chip Cox, kicker-punter Damon Duval and offensive lineman Jeff Perrett after signing all three players to contract extensions Thursday.
Cox, 24, was one of the key members of the Montreal defence last year, leading the team with 10 knockdowns and ranked third in tackles with 58 in his second CFL season. He also had three interceptions, returning them for a total of 115 yards and one touchdown.
Duval, 27, was the CFL's top ranked punter last year and was named to his first league all-star team after making 32 of 45 field goals.
Parrett, 22, completed his first season with the Alouettes, appearing in eight games while starting one.
