The deal will keep Williams in Vancouver through the 2013 season.
"I am very pleased to extend my contract with the Lions," Williams said Friday in a release. "We showed last season that we have a lot of guys willing to do whatever it takes to win and I am excited to be part of a team poised to achieve some great things."
Williams joined the Lions as a free agent in 2010. In 16 regular-season games he recorded five sacks and a career-high 40 tackles.
