Is Brooke Henderson's win over Lydia Ko the start of a great golf rivalry?
Canadian becomes 2nd-youngest woman to ever win a major title
At 18 years old, a lot of teenagers are still deciding what to do with their lives. But Canada's Brooke Henderson is winning LPGA major titles.
Henderson won the women's PGA Championship on Sunday, defeating top-ranked Lydia Ko in a sudden-death playoff, begging the question of whether this is the start of a golf supremacy rivalry between the two.
Henderson became the second youngest woman to ever win a major, trailing only Ko, who was younger last year when she won the Evian Championship in France.
Considering her rise to stardom, Henderson's victory isn't a huge surprise. At 17 she reached the top 20 world rankings before even becoming a full member of the LPGA tour. Her win on Sunday pushes her to second in the world on the Rolex Rankings, behind only Ko.
Ko was looking for her third straight major title but the sudden-death loss stripped her of that chance. Still, when the last three majors have been won by two individuals, both of whom are still teenagers, it impresses people.
And they were recognized for it:

Throughout it all, Canada was buzzing over it's new champion. Henderson is just the second Canadian woman to ever win a major, the last being Sandra Post in 1968.
For a country that doesn't normally create noise in the golf world, Canadians were loud when Henderson took home the trophy.
Someone get <a href="https://twitter.com/BrookeHenderson">@BrookeHenderson</a> a chocolate cigar and some non alcoholic champagne ASAP! <a href="https://twitter.com/ShannonSzabados">@ShannonSzabados</a> you on it?
