Canadian golfer Myles Creighton earns 1st Korn Ferry Tour win 1 day after historic round
On Saturday at Wichita Open, he became 15th player in tour history to shoot sub-60

Myles Creighton of Digby, N.S., won the Wichita Open on Sunday, a day after shooting an 11-under 59, closing with a 2-under 68 for a one-stroke victory over Emilio Gonzalez of Mexico.
The 29-year-old Creighton won his first Korn Ferry Tour title, finishing at 17-under 263 at Crestview Country Club in Kansas.
On Saturday, he became the 15th player in tour history to shoot a sub-60 round and the second of the week.
It was the second time in two years at a Korn Ferry Tour event that two players had sub-60 rounds in the same week. Cristobal Del Solar of Chile set the Korn Ferry Tour record with a 57 in the opening round of the Astara Golf Championship in Colombia. The next day, Aldrich Potgieter of South Africa shot 59. Neither went on to win the tournament.
Gonzalez finished with a 66.
Adrien Dumont de Chassart of Belgium opened with a 59. He closed with a 65 to tie for fifth at 13 under.
On Saturday, Creighton chipped in for birdie on the 18th hole for his historic round, the second score of 59 in three days at the tournament.
Dumont de Chassart had a 59 in the opening round.

There have been 18 sub-60 rounds on tours around the world since 2023, including a 59 on the PGA Tour this year by Jake Knapp at the Cognizant Classic.
Creighton shared the lead with Quade Cummins (67) at 15-under 195. Dumont de Chassart was tied for 17th at 8 under, following his 59 with rounds of 70 and 73.
