Bobby Hull's front teeth sold

Some rabid memorabilia collector is the proud owner of a unique piece of hockey history. An unknown fan has bid $575.96 US for a 35-year-old set of Bobby Hull's false front teeth.

The dentures were just one of 95 mementoes from a 24-year hockey career that Hull put up for sale on the Classic Collectibles auction website.

According to the website the fake teeth were "lost in the sheets during a bedroom romp in a Geneva hotel in the late 1950s." Later they were "mailed back" to Hull.

Jerseys worn during Hull's glory days as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks, milestone pucks and autographed sticks were also sold to the highest bidder.

A Hawks jersey worn by Hull netted $17,716.70. His Hockey Hall of Fame medal earned $1,264.71.

The auction closed Oct. 10.
