NHL embraces Movember, but who did it best?

The month of November is about to wrap up, and with it, will go the yearly tradition that is Movember.

The month of November is about to wrap up, and with it, will go the yearly tradition that is Movember.

You can love or hate the actual stache itself, but the annual month-long fundraiser has evolved from a group of Australian buddies, into a worldwide event that went "From 30 Mo Bros in 2003 to over five million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to date."

Coming in with this years largest contingent is the NHL, where unless you are the Toronto Maple Leafs and working for Lou Lamoriello, you are always good for a little moustache action.

Players all across the league are participating in the fundraiser, designed to raise funds and attention, even if it isn't everyone's favourite time of the year.

It is hard to beat Bergeron on the ice, but in the stache department, his teammate Adam McQuaid may have an edge on him.

McQuaid appears to have his team's vote, and the comparisons just keep rolling in. 

"Some guys are calling me sheriff and saying I look like the guy from There's Something About Mary and stuff like that," McQuaid said. "It's fun to kind of joke around about it, We know about the seriousness of what stands for, but it's still fun at the same time."

You absolutely cannot do a Movember roundup without the obligatory handlebar stache, and boy, do the Columbus Blue Jackets have a stinger of a candidate

Annual fan and supporter Adam Henrique is at it again this year, upping his game with some mustache merchandise he is selling that gives all the proceeds to the Movember foundation.

He doesn't just talk the talk, Henrique goes all in with a devilish little Movember addition.

To be fair, Burns has a full face of hair, and Smith is keeping it classy with just the stache. It is Movember after all….

Even EA games have gotten involved. The NHL has offered a Movember special in its NHL17 game
