As the weather gets colder, Canadian ski and snowboard stars are taking their skills to the hills.

Ski and snowboard season is just getting started which means your Canadian athletes have been all over social media posting incredible snapshots. While some are struggling with a lack of their biggest necessity (snow), others are thriving hillside.

Cross-country skier Devon Kershaw isn't so lucky. He's taking some personal time — but not by choice. Winter is slow coming to Norway, apparently.

Another cross-country skier, Brian McKeever, also couldn't get on the hills due to lack of snow. However, he seems unfazed by the shortage.

Meanwhile, back in Alberta, teammate Ivan Babikov celebrated a snowy forecast by heading out to try out some new gear.

The Canadian women's snowboardcross team has managed to track down some serious snow in Austria, where they've been training since October. Zoe Bergermann showed off her skills while catching some serious air.

Alpine team veteran, Marie-Michèle Gagnon has been enjoying the snow day in and day out getting ready for the season.

While Canadian snowboarder, Sebastien Toutant, has been celebrating on the slopes.

Finally, Toutant's teammate, Sébastien Beaulieu, just seems pleased to be back in his happy place.
