With the Rio 2016 Olympics only a week away from kicking off, Canadian Olympians have started to get ready and make the trip to Rio this week. The athletes showing their excitement as they look forward to performing on the world's biggest stage. Before their departure some athletes took part in some last-minute preparation.

Leonora Mackinnon and some of her fencing teammates got one last training session with her soon-to-be rivals Team USA before making the trip to Rio.

Kierra Smith and some of the swim team went for one final dip before take-off.

Swimmers Javier Acevedo and Taylor Ruck showed off their stylish matching swimsuits.

Jen Kish and the rugby team are almost ready to go and are prepared to take anyone down in not only rugby but in karaoke as well.

If anyone has experience with teleportation, please let racewalkers Inaki Gomez, Ben Thorne and Evan Dunfee know as they were hoping to cut down their 16-hour travel time.  The trio did not seem to mind their journey to Rio too much though as they enjoyed some drinks and top notch seating.

Gymnast Scott Morgan has arrived and already got his first taste of Vinicius, the official mascot of the games.  To all the Pokemon-Go players, that is not a Pikachu.

Field hockey players Iain Smythe and Devohn Noronha-Teixeira gave us a glimpse of some of the excitement going in Rio right now.

Volleyball player Sarah Pavan is in Rio and pumped to get to work!

There's no question Sarah knows how to get to work and she showed that off in this video with volleyball partner Heather Bansley:
