Game, set, match? The Olympians of Tinder

It wouldn't be the Olympics without the hookups. Sex in the Athletes' Village has been no secret for years, and apps are making it easier than ever.

Seems to be easier than ever to 'Olympics and chill'

It wouldn't be the Olympics without the hookups.

Sex in the Athletes' Village has been no secret for years, from the outdoor sex ban post-Seoul Olympics, to the ever-increasing number of condoms available to athletes. Rio's record-breaking order is 450,000 condoms, which breaks down to 42 per athlete, or two per day if they stay the full two weeks.

With apps like Tinder and Bumble, it's easier than ever to "Olympics and chill" — even easier than London 2012, where app Grindr crashed from use. Tinder, whose use is said to be "skyrocketing," seems prepared.

"Over the weekend, matches in the Olympic Village increased by 129 per cent and we expect this trend to continue throughout the Games," Rosette Pambakian, VP of Global Communications & Branding at Tinder said.

So, who's looking for a match in the Village? Thanks to @sportsswipe and @tinderrio, we don't have to wonder.

Team USA

Are you surprised that Ryan Lochte is verified on Tinder? Would you believe it was him otherwise?

Simone Manuel is a new silver medallist in the 4x100m women's freestyle relay. Perhaps she'd like to celebrate?

Race Imboden is not only a fencer, but a professional model. (Take that, Lochte!)

Team Great Britain

Here's two for one – gymnast (and UK celeb) Louis Smith, and his teammate Brinn Bevan.

Team Ireland

Team Ireland is up for the craic – or Thomas Barr, hurdler, is.

Sharon McCurley, cyclist, doesn't like the dark.

Team Australia

Madeline Groves, competitor in the 100m and 200m butterfly, has great reaction faces.

Team Brazil

The home country is well represented by Rosangela Santos, sprinter in the women's 100m and 200m.

Team Canada

While we haven't yet spotted too many Canadians, there are reports of some on Tinder. For now, here's our rower Will Crothers, competing Wednesday morning in the men's coxless four semi-finals, along with Americans Seth Weil and Alex Karwoski, and Australia's James McRae.
