Hope Solo has touched a nerve with Jen Kish.

Kish, a member of Canada's bronze-medal winning rugby sevens squad, was annoyed by Solo's post-game comments after Sweden stunned the U.S. in the women's soccer quarter-finals.

Solo said the Swedes did not deserve the win and called them "cowards" for their defensive strategy used against the Americans. Upon seeing her comments, Kish shot back at the American goalie.

After her reaction, Kish received support from many, including three-time Olympic gold medallist Marnie McBean and Canadian professional basketball player Lizanne Murphy:

Not only did Canadians respond to Kish's comments, but also from our neighbours south of the border.

As for the individuals most affected by Solo's comments, Sweden is not letting it affect them. Head coach Pia Sundhage fired back at Solo, a former player that she coached as team manager of the U.S. national team.
