Canadians well back after 1st of 4 heats in men's skeleton

South Korea's Yun Sung-bin sits in first after Heat 1 of the men's skeleton, clocking a time of 50.28 seconds Thursday in Pyeongchang.

South Korea's Yun Sung-bin sits in first after Heat 1 of the men's skeleton, clocking a time of 50.28 seconds Thursday in Pyeongchang.

Sung-bin is looking to become the host country's first gold medallist in the event. 

Kevin Boyer, of Sherwood Park, Alta., was the top Canadian (51.46) and sits 18th.

Dave Greszczszyn (51.73) of Brampton Ont., and Calgary's Barrett Martineau (51.94) are 23rd and 26th, respectively. 

Heat 2 is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET.

The final two heats are scheduled for Friday in Pyeongchang, starting at 7:30 p.m. ET.
