LaSalle, Ont. native Kylie Masse snatched a silver medal at the FINA world short-course swimming championships in Windsor with the full support of her friends and family who live in the area.

Although grateful that she had the support of many, Masse began her day of competition focused on her races.

Does it get any better than this? It was a family affair for the Masse family as they rep matching "Team Kylie" T-shirts before the swimmer's 100-metre backstroke final.

The 20-year-old University of Toronto student finished in a time of 56.24 seconds, just behind Hungary's Katinka Hosszu (55.54).

The hometown crowd went wild for the Canadian Olympian:

Other Canadian Olympic swimmers joined in on the "Team Kylie" conversation:

Masse won a bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in the 100m backstroke. Earning a silver medal Wednesday in the same event, it's clear there's a bright future ahead of this Canadian swimmer.
