Canada's Santo Condorelli beat 2012 Olympic champion Nathan Adrian in the men's 100-metre freestyle on Saturday at the U.S. nationals swimming competition in Federal Way, Wash.
Condorelli, of Kenora, Ont., clocked 48.05 seconds for the victory, the second fastest time of his career. It was his second medal this week after placing third in the 50 freestyle on Thursday.
Vladimir Morozov of Russia was second in 48.51 while Adrian of the U.S. — the 100 free champion at the London Games — took third spot in 48.60.
