Second-half goals by Lindsey Horan and Tobin Heath lifted the U.S. to a 2-0 win Sunday over Canada in the final of the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship.

A tough loss to the powerhouse Americans on Sunday night highlighted all of the Canadian national team's weaknesses and fans were quick to take notice.

The women in red swept past their opening game against Guyana 5-0, confidently putting six goals behind Trinidad and Tobago and ran a 10-goal clinic on Guatemala. They gave up their first goal of the tournament to Costa Rica in the semifinals but still managed a comfortable 3-1 win. 

Team Canada started out on a great note and fans were quick to tweet about it.


Five youngsters made the starting 11 today and, to be honest, Canadian fans love them.


But as the game progressed, so did the goals in the back of Canada's net. So we asked Twitter fans what they thought. No surprise here: Christine Sinclair is always the answer.


Being two goals down, fans started to lose hope as the game continued.
