World Series rugby sevens: Canada's opponents drawn for circuit in Hong Kong
Will play Wales, who Canadians lost to on Saturday
Canada has been drawn in Pool D with Series leader Fiji, Wales and South Korea at the HSBC Hong Kong Sevens rugby tournament next month.
The draw gives the Canadian men a chance to avenge their 26-19 loss to Wales on Saturday in Vancouver. The defeat cost Canada a chance to make the elite Cup quarter-finals.
Wales went on to finish tied for seventh in Vancouver while Canada placed ninth. The result vaulted the Welsh past Canada into 12th spot in the season standings dropping Canada to No. 13.
Canada Sevens winners New Zealand head Pool A, which also features Samoa, France and Kenya. Pool B consists of South Africa, Scotland, England and Russia, while Pool C is Australia the U.S., Argentina and Portugal.
Hong Kong is the seventh stop on the 10-event World Series.
In addition to the main competition April 8-10, there is also a 12-team tournament with the winner qualifying as a core team for the 2016-17 World Series. Russia was promoted in 2015 and Japan in 2014.
