#BEIJING2015: De Grasse, Theisen-Eaton, Thorne make it Super Sunday for Canada
Canada has huge day at world championships
Day 2 of the IAAF world championships in Beijing, China was a great day for Canada, with some pegging it "Super Sunday".
I think we should remember today as <a href="https://twitter.com/AthleticsCanada">@AthleticsCanada</a> 'super' Sunday night of Athletics - magical day w/3 medals. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ProudCanadian?src=hash">#ProudCanadian</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Beijing2015?src=hash">#Beijing2015</a>

The day opened with Ben Thorne garnering Canada's first ever world race walk medal: a bronze.
Overwhelemed with my medal. I don't know why the other walkers let me do that. :) Voice broke cheering for <a href="https://twitter.com/De6rasse">@De6rasse</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/btheiseneaton">@btheiseneaton</a> too.

Brianne Thiesen-Eaton was the silver medallist in heptathlon as she closed with a second-place finish in the 800-metre heptathlon race.
Canada's Brianne Theisen Eaton takes silver. Repeating her performance at the worlds from two years before. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/cbcolympics?src=hash">#cbcolympics</a>

And rising Canadian track star Andre De Grasse topped off the day with a bronze medal in the 100m, proving that he can run with the big boys.
Coming off an NCAA gold and Pan Am Games gold in the 100m, today's race was the first time he faced off against the likes of Usain Bolt and Justin Gatlin in a final.
With "Andre De Grasse" trending in Canada we decided to take a look at some of the best reactions from fellow athletes.
Some think it's time for @ChampagnePapi to shout out De Grasse in a song.
.I think It's about time for <a href="https://twitter.com/Drake">@Drake</a> to drop <a href="https://twitter.com/De6rasse">@De6rasse</a> name in a song somewhere. The "De Grasse" and "Degrassi" line seems like a gimme.

While teammate Dontae Richards-Kwok was more concerned with those who doubted Bolt.
Watching all the bandwagoners on my TL like where is your pride kids 😂 6am: Gatlin too unstoppable right now 9am: BOLT ALL DAY, ERR DAY!
—@LongLiveDontae
Brendon Rodney was proud of De Grasse, but admittedly a lot like Trick Daddy.
I'm whole heartedly proud of you <a href="https://twitter.com/De6rasse">@De6rasse</a> as a friend and teammate congrats brother I would cry tears of pride but Imma thug lol <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Proud?src=hash">#Proud</a>

Richard Thompson thinks that the young guys who tied for bronze should be giving themselves a pat on the back.
Young bloods Degrasse and Bromelle proved that they're the real deal. Big up yourself!
