Ontario's Homan gains rematch with Manitoba's Englot in Hearts final

Ontario's Rachel Homan reached the final of the Canadian women's curling championship with a 7-5 win over Northern Ontario's Krista McCarville in Saturday's semifinal.

Homan gained a rematch with Manitoba's Michelle Englot for the title Sunday. The winner represents Canada at the world championship in Beijing next month.

Englot is 2-0 against Homan at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts including a 9-8 win in their playoff game between the top two seeds.

Homan is a two-time Canadian champion. Englot's team will play in their first Hearts final.

McCarville defeated Chelsea Carey 8-1 in an earlier playoff game Saturday to advance to the semifinal.

Carey and McCarville face each other again for the bronze medal Sunday.
