Loan Bozzolo of France placed third.
Grondin, 23, captured Saturday's race ahead of Austria's Alessandro Haemmerle and French competitor Merlin Surget.
Grondin, the reigning world champion, posted seven victories and 10 podium finishes last campaign on the way to a Crystal Globe as the overall season champion.
He tops the World Cup standings this season.
