Aurélie Rivard won Canada's first gold of the Rio Paralympics in the women's 50-metre freestyle S10 final and set a new world record of 27.37 seconds in the process. But it's what happened after she received her medal that's getting even more attention.

The 20-year-old from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., ran into the stands, gold medal in tow, and thanked her biggest supporters: her parents.
