Steph Labbe likely to start in Rio
The roster for the Canadian women's soccer team going to the Rio Olympics was announced Monday morning and while there were no major surprises, fans are still adjusting to longtime goalkeepers Karina LeBlanc and Erin McLeod not being there.
LeBlanc decided to walk away from the sport after the 2015 Women's World Cup and McLeod is sidelined with a torn ACL. The veteran 'keepers alternated in net for nearly 18 years, but LeBlanc believes that her former team is in "great hands."
Literally.
