Canadian Dabrowski advances to French Open mixed-doubles final

Seventh-seeded Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and partner Rohan Bopanna, of India, beat third-seeded Andrea Hlavackova and Edouard Roger-Vasselin in straight sets to move into the French Open final Wednesday.

Seventh-seeded Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and partner Rohan Bopanna, of India, advanced to the French Open final Wednesday.

The duo beat third-seeded Andrea Hlavackova and Edouard Roger-Vasselin in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3.

Dabrowski and Bopanna played a very clean match, allowing just one break and committing only one unforced error.

They collectively hammered home five aces. 

Dabrowski, an Ottawa native, has the chance to become the first Canadian woman to win a mixed-doubles Grand Slam title.

She and Bopanna will take on unseeded Robert Farah and Anna-Lena Groenefeld on Thursday.
