There's a whole new kind of throw down coming to a TV near you!
Susannah Montague joins Elamin to talk about The Great Canadian Pottery Throw Down
Did you pick up a creative hobby in the last few years? Maybe it was learning how to make the perfect sourdough bread, or learning to knit a sweater. Or maybe, it was pottery.
Now there's a new reality competition series dedicated to putting the best amateur potters across Canada to the test.
On The Great Canadian Pottery Throw Down, 10 people will compete each week to be named Canada's top potter. The series is hosted by actor and comedian Seth Rogen and features award-winning artist and ceramics instructor Brendan Tang and renowned ceramicist and educator Natalie Waddell, who will serve as judges and name Canada's top potter.
The Great Canadian Pottery Throw Down premieres on CBC Thursday.
Ceramic sculptor Susannah Montague joins host Elamin Abdelmahmoud to talk about why this art form might just become the next big thing.
