How to lose a Canadian Screen Award
CSA nominees Sol Friedman and Sarah Clifford-Rashotte are prepared for any outcome
Filmmaker Sol Friedman is nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Bacon and God's Wrath, a short film which has gained acclaim and awards both in Canada and abroad. It was listed as one of TIFF's top ten short films of 2015 and won a jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
This isn't Friedman's first Canadian Screen Award nomination. His film Day 40, an animated retelling of the story of Noah's Ark, made the cut in 2014 but didn't take the award home.
In preparation for his second time at bat for a CSA, Friedman and Sarah Clifford-Rashotte (who produced the film and also happens to be Friedman's wife) created a film for Exhibitionists about how they might handle losing yet another CSA.
Watch Exhibitionists this Sunday at 1:30pm (2pm NT) on CBC Television. Exhibitionists will return to its normal 4:30pm (5pm NT) timeslot on March 20.
