Season 2, Episode 2: Biscuits and Bars Week
For Biscuits and Bars Week, the bakers showed off their creativity by taking the simplest baked goods — cookies and bake sale squares — and turning them into delicious, high concept masterpieces. They also tackled a technical challenge that saw some bakers shine...and other lose their temper.
Judges Rochelle Adonis and Bruno Feldeisen had a tough decision on their hands, as multiple bakers pulled out all the stops and created jaw-dropping creations. But as always, one baker shone just a little bit brighter, winning the star baker crown. Sadly, another baker was asked to leave the tent.

Like all things on Biscuits and Bars Week, this week's technical challenge was deceptively tough.
While digestive cookies look simple, they're not easy to make.
The bakers had tackle the finicky challenge of tempering chocolate to give the cookies their even chocolate shine. Each cookie also needed a distinctive stamp on the back and the digestive cookie's signature snap. Sounds easy enough right? Wrong.
Everyone in the tent raised their game this week. More than one showstopper managed to be both visually stunning and delicious, but in the end Rochelle and Bruno decided that Sachin's fall harvest basket — featuring apple cookies in a gingerbread basket with royal icing wicker — was the winner. Sachin took the star baker crown.
Megan also brought her A game to the tent. Her signature bake was a three-layer movie indulgence bar that combines everyone's favourite theatre snacks into one delicious treat.
