A look at Bar Kismet: The Halifax joint with a summery vibe year-round
Walk through the doors, be transported to balmy-like escapes — and there's a breezy cocktail waiting for you.
Walking through the doors of North End Halifax's Bar Kismet is like escaping instantly to a sunnier clime. The small space is bathed in warm, natural light which keeps the assortment of tropical greenery thriving. The centrepiece of the entire space, the bar's array of colourful syrup bottles, fresh garnishes and collection of spirits is eye catching and inviting.
White-panelled walls and light fixtures lend a bright and airy vibe to this small space. Minimalist accents, along with plenty of unfussy mirrors make the most of the beautiful light this spot gets during daytime hours. A calming palette of gold accents, along with wooden and vintage-inspired finishes all combine to create a fresh and casual space that encourages visitors to linger, any time of day.
And if the warm ambience alone isn't enough to transport you, the fresh seafood on the menu and craft cocktail list offer up plenty of options reminiscent of a summer's day.
And if you're not headed to Halifax's North End anytime soon, you can find the recipe to Bar Kismet's The Lazy Tennis Player here, and try out your craft cocktail skills at home.
