MEC recalls 2 types of children's snowsuits over mould concerns
Company says about 3,200 units sold in Canada between August and December 2024

Mountain Equipment Company is recalling two types of children's snowsuits due to concern about mould contamination.
The MEC Toaster and Toaster Bunting suits are one-piece waterproof suits with dual front zippers.
The recall notice distributed by Health Canada on Monday says only suits with specific item numbers and purchase order numbers are affected.
The affected item numbers are 5037-265 and 5047-839. The purchase order numbers are 666483 and 666503.
The MEC Toaster Bunting suits are sizes 6, 12, 18 and 24 months and come in Summit Winter Critters, Salmonberry, Wild Berry and Earthen Gold.

The MEC Toaster suits are child sizes 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and come in Salmonberry, Purple Orchid, Summit, Black POW and Dark Forest Mountain Snow.
The company says about 3,200 units of the recalled snowsuits were sold in Canada between August and December 2024.
As of Feb. 11, MEC says it has received two reports of children being affected by the mould in Canada.
Customers are asked to return the affected products to Mountain Equipment Company for a refund or exchange.
Health Canada says mould can be a health risk for people with compromised immune systems, damaged lungs or an allergy to mould.
