B.C. will spend $58 million to try to lure doctors to rural areas of the province.
The British Columbia government is prepared to spend $58 million to lure doctors to rural areas.
Health Services Minister Colin Hansen says the strategy will ensure equal access to medical services for B.C. families, no matter where they live.
The incentives are in addition to increases worked out with the B.C. Medical Association.
They include recruitment bonuses of up to $10,000, retention premiums and continuing education benefits.
