A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Abbotsford, B.C. just after midnight Sunday, according to police.

The Abbotsford Police Department said in a statement the fatal collision happened at the 3600 block of Lefeuvre Road, a rural road that runs between the Trans-Canada Highway and the Fraser Highway.

According to police, the pedestrian was hit by the driver of a red Dodge Ram pickup truck. The victim, 38, died of his injuries on scene.
