Man dead in Abbotsford after being hit by truck in loading bay

The Abbotsford Police Department is investigating after a man was killed in a loading bay after being hit by a large truck.

It happened at approximately 7 p.m. PT tonight, in the 32500 block of South Fraser Way. 

The truck was in a Safeway loading bay when in hit the victim, a 38-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the site of the accident and is cooperating with the investigation. 

Members of the Abbotsford Police Department's Major Crime Unit and traffic analysts are also investigating.
