One of the teenagers accused of stabbing another teenager to death in Whistler Village during the May long weekend has been granted bail.

Arvin Golic, 18, who was charged with the manslaughter of Luka Gordic, 19, was granted bail on Monday morning by a judge in North Vancouver provincial court.

The family of the victim walked out of the courtroom immediately after hearing the decision, without waiting to hear the conditions imposed by the judge.

Outside the courthouse, an altercation between the families of the victim and the accused had to be broken up by court sheriffs.

Three other teens, who can't be named because they are under the age of 17, have also been charged in the case. Two have since been released on bail, but the third was denied bail last month.

Gordic was walking with friends around Whistler village when he became separated in the early hours of May 17, after going into a 7-11 to buy chips.

As he left the convenience store, police say he was swarmed by up to 10 teenagers, and stabbed multiple times.
