B.C. teachers' strike: Provincial exam schedule
Provincial exams for Grades 10 to 12 will be held between June 16 and June 26
The B.C. Ministry of Education has released more information about how provincial exams will be affected as the province's teachers continue their full-scale strike.
According to a press release issued Tuesday, provincial exams for Grades 10 to 12 will proceed as scheduled below and normal school bus service will continue to transport students to provincial exams.
Grade 12 exams will be marked in July, and students can expect to receive their Official Transcript of Grades by the end of July.
Grades 10 and 11 provincial exams will be marked by school administrators, and the deadline for marking has been extended to July 2, 2014. However, Grade 10 and 11 students should not expect normal year-end reports.
School districts will decide how to provide information about students’ progress, available class marks and provincial exam results — final course grades may be delayed.
According to the news release, the B.C. Public School Employers' Association is seeking further clarification from the Labour Relations Board on the submission of class marks.
