Trudeau puts 3 B.C. MPs in new cabinet

At least 3 B.C. MPs have been appointed to the federal cabinet by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today in Ottawa.

MPs Jody Wilson-Raybould, Harjit Sajjan and Carla Qualtrough, all get cabinet posts.

Three MP's from B.C. have been picked to represent B.C. in the new federal cabinet. They are from left to right, Harjit Sajjan, Vancouver South, Jody Wilson-Raybould, Vancouver Granville, Carla Qualtrough, Delta.

Three high-profile B.C. Liberals MPs who did not get cabinet posts were Hedy Fry, Joyce Murray and Pamela Goldsmith-Jones.

Liberal MPs won 17 of 42 seats in B.C. in the Oct. 19 federal election, the party's best result since 1968, when Pierre Trudeau swept to power, taking 16 of 23 seats in the province at the time.
