3-year-old child 3rd pedestrian fatality in Chilliwack, B.C., in just over 2 weeks
The driver, who remained on the scene, is co-operating with the police investigation, police say

RCMP in Chilliwack, B.C., say a three-year-old has died in a "tragic motor vehicle collision."
Police say the child was a pedestrian at the intersection of Vedder and Petewawa roads when they were hit on Wednesday morning.
They say emergency responders provided immediate medical assistance, but the child succumbed to their injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and is co-operating with the police investigation.
3rd pedestrian death in just over 2 weeks
The child's death comes after two other fatal collisions involving pedestrians in Chilliwack in the past few weeks.
On Feb. 17, a man was killed after being hit by a car in the 3500-block of Boundary Road.
The next day, another man was hit and killed by a vehicle at the intersection of Vedder and Promontory roads.

Insp. Harinder Kheleh says police extend their condolences to the child's family during this "unimaginable time" after a crash that affects the entire community.
The integrated collision analysis and reconstruction service will be helping the investigation, and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.
