The winner of The Early Edition's holiday competition Brightest Block: Ranking the Best Christmas Streets in Metro Vancouver has been revealed! 

From December 13-16, our expert judges - CBC Vancouver's Justin McElroy, Director of SFU's City Program Andy Yan and Interim Chief Development Officer at St. Paul's Foundation Cecilia Tupper - wielded down your entries to the Top 5 decorated blocks that make your daily walks or commute brighter: 

  1. Trinity Street, Vancouver
  2. Santa Claus Lane, Langley
  3. Candy Cane Lane, Ladner
  4. Drummond Street, Vancouver
  5. 15175 62A Avenue, Surrey

It was a tough competition, but on December 17, the panel selected Candy Cane Lane in Ladner as the best and brightest decorated block in Metro Vancouver! Listen to the announcement here.
