Desirée Dawson plays CBC Musical Nooners July 20

Desirée Dawson is a singer-songwriter from Surrey B.C. She was this years winner of the CBC Searchlight competition. She plays the free concert series, CBC Musical Nooners, on July 20.

CBC Searchlight winner, Desirée Dawson, brings her ukulele to the CBC Musical Nooners stage Thursday July 21. The concert begins at 12:00 PM and ends at 1:00PM. 

CBC Musical Nooners are free, live music concerts that take place every weekday on the CBC Vancouver outdoor stage. 

Desirée Dawson is a singer-songwriter and a Surrey B.C. native.

In May 2016 she won the CBC Music's Searchlight competition, earning the grand prize valued at $50,000.

She has collaborated with world renown producer Armin van Buuren's label Armada Music. 

The ukulele player describes her sound as indie-soul. She is currently working on her first EP. 

The CBC Musical Nooners are a series of free, live music concerts every weekday from noon to 1 p.m. PT at the CBC Vancouver Plaza on Hamilton Street (between West Georgia and Robson streets).
