Officials have yet to determine how many homes were destroyed.

Residents got an aerial view of the damage and destruction left behind after the Elephant Hill wildfire tore through the community of Loon Lake.

The drone footage was released by the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) and was shown to residents at a public meeting on Monday.

The video shows a number of homes and structures completely ravaged by the fire, including the volunteer fire hall.

There is no exact number on how many properties were destroyed.

An evacuation order was issued for the resort community on July 14. A handful of residents were able to return home after a partial evacuation order was reduced to an alert.
