Crash closed the highway for several hours on Saturday night
One person was killed in a car crash on the Trans Canada Highway in North Vancouver on Saturday.
Police say the head-on collision between a westbound pickup truck and eastbound car happened around 6:30 p.m. PT.
A third vehicle was also involved in the collision near the Mountain Highway overpass, where there is no concrete divider due to construction.
A stretch of Highway 1 was closed between Lynn Valley Road and Mountain Highway as collision analysts gathered evidence at the crash scene. It re-opened around 2 a.m. PT Sunday.
