Highway 1 reopens in both directions near Salmon Arm after crash

A vehicle crash shut down the Trans-Canada Highway for several hours north of Tappen.

Highway 1 has reopened north of Tappen, B.C., near Salmon Arm, after a vehicle crash on Sunday.

The incident happened between White Lake Road and Ford Road.

Motorists were forced to use a detour along Highway 97, 97A and 97B for several hours.

DriveBC said the highway had re-opened just after 12:00 a.m. Monday.
