RCMP in Kamloops, B.C., are investigating the city's fourth confirmed homicide of the year after a 42-year-old man died after an apparent street fight on the city's north shore.

Police are now looking for a man believed to have been involved in the fight and any witnesses who may have seen something or been involved.

"The event appears to have stemmed from an argument between two individuals who possibly became acquainted earlier that night," said Cpl. Jody Neuls.

It's believed the man met the suspect at a local pub.

No weapon used

The Kamloops Serious Crimes Unit is now investigating the case.

Neuls says an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death, but police do know that no weapons were used during the fight.

Police were called just before 3 a.m. PT on Dec. 30 near Tranquille Road and Wood Street after there were reports about a fight in progress.

When police arrived, they found a 42-year-old man unconscious on the ground.
