No criminality suspected, RCMP say, following discovery of body in Okanagan Lake
Public was asked to stay away from area on Monday morning, but park has since reopened

City Park in Kelowna, B.C., has reopened after a body was discovered in Okanagan Lake on Monday morning.
A large police presence has been visible at the park since 7:45 a.m. PT on Monday, with tape and visibility barriers preventing public entry to the popular beachfront in the city's downtown.
In a statement sent around 2:20 p.m. PT, RCMP said they successfully retrieved the body of a man from the lake, and said no details about his identity would be released at this point.
Cpl. Allison Konsmo said in the statement that there was no danger to public safety, and no criminality was suspected in the death.
The B.C. Coroners Service has now taken over the case.
Police had initially asked for members of the public to stay away from the area, but the park has since reopened. The RCMP statement added that they would not be providing further updates "out of respect for those affected by this unfortunate incident."
