Somebody get 60 Minutes a better fact checker: During a profile of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the CBS show mistakenly identified Canadian actress Kim Cattrall as his mother.

Cattrall did date the late Pierre Elliot Trudeau after his separation from Margaret Trudeau

On Twitter, the Sex and the City actress rolled with the gaffe. "I have a son who is the Prime Minister of Canada? I couldn't be more proud," she said.

Half-Vulcan PM?

She carried on the joke, retweeting CBC reporter John Bowman's musing if this made Trudeau half-Vulcan. The actress played a Vulcan, Lieutenant Valeris, in  Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

Cattrall on Canadian currency

On a more serious note, the British Columbian actress raised why there weren't any females depicted on Canadian currency.

60 Minutes apology

60 Minutes apologized for the mix-up.

"We regret the error on one of the several video and still images shown of Margaret Trudeau. It was corrected online last night," a 60 Minutes spokesman told The Hollywood Reporter on Monday.
