Police have released images found on the camera in hope of finding the owners
Surrey RCMP have released pictures from a camcorder turned into police at the Cloverdale Rodeo in B.C., hoping to find the rightful owner.
The black JVC Everio camcorder was found on 177B Street between 64th and 60th Avenue on May 17, and was handed into police two days later at the rodeo.
The images shows a family, including an infant and toddler.
"We're really happy this valuable camcorder was turned in to us by a Good Samaritan," Cpl. Scotty Schumann said in a statement.
"The pictures and videos of this young family are priceless and could never be replaced. No doubt the owners are heartbroken after losing a collection of precious memories."
Police are asking anyone who recognizes the family — or themselves — to contact Surrey RCMP.
